It’s 3 AM. You’re not the only one keeping watch.

Maple Roost is the private place your family keeps your child’s story — together. The feeds and naps you log become a record of who they’re becoming, in sync with everyone who loves them. Calm, private, and built by parents who needed it themselves.

  • Not a number — a moment. Not just “she ate” — the first time she reached for the spoon herself and grinned. Maple Roost keeps the moment, and why it mattered.
  • Kept by everyone who loves them. One shared record both parents write to in real time, with a key for grandparents and caregivers too — the same story, wherever care happens.
  • Hand off the night, not the story. Give a sitter their own time-limited key — no shared password, gone when the night ends. They add to the record; they never get the run of it.

See what’s inside

One sleep timer, every lock screen. Start the nap on your phone — it’s already ticking on your partner’s, Live Activity and Dynamic Island included (iPhone). The quiet proof that you’re keeping this together.

A quick look

A whole day, in about ten seconds

How the story gets written

A tap now, a memory you’ll keep later

A feed, a nap, a first taste — each is one tap, and it lands on every parent’s phone the moment it happens. No streaks, no scoreboard — just the calmest way to write down a day while you’re living it, so the small things gather into a record instead of slipping away.

  • Feeding — bottle, nursing, or solids in a tap, with a live nursing timer synced across both parents’ phones.

  • Sleep — a live shared timer that ticks on every phone, with a real iOS Live Activity and Dynamic Island, so a nap is never double-logged or missed.

  • Diapers & pumping — logged in seconds by whoever’s holding the baby, even with no signal.

  • Always there — add a moment anywhere offline; it syncs the moment you’re back, with no double entries to untangle.

Handoffs — the part we’re proudest of

Hand the sitter a key, not your password

Date night needs a babysitter — and for one evening, they should be able to add to the story too, without ever touching your account. No history, no laminated instruction sheet, no password of yours to share. Create a handoff, pick the window — tonight, 24 hours, the weekend, or a custom start and end — and hand them a QR code. Then the key disappears on its own when the night ends. And when a helper only needs to peek — grandma checking in — a handoff can be view-only, too.

  • They scan, they’re in

No account to create, no password to text, nothing for them to set up. The pass opens straight to a simple sitter view.

  • They see exactly what they need

Big buttons to log feeds, naps and diapers; your notes (meal plan, bedtime, anything); and the emergency card — allergies, pediatrician, who to call. By default they only see what they logged today — not your history, not your memories, not your settings.

  • You stay in the loop — live

Every log lands in your timeline as it happens. Change the plan from the restaurant — “skip the bath, two books instead” — and their screen updates on its own. If they start the sleep timer, it ticks on your phone too.

  • It ends on its own

Access expires automatically when the window closes, and you can revoke it any time before that. A pass can’t edit or delete anything — that isn’t a setting, it’s how it’s built.

Your sitter never needs an account. Ever — and the handoff expires by itself.

What it all becomes

The Keepsake Shelf — the days, gathered into a story

Most of what you log fades by next week. Here it gathers onto a shelf of monthly books — each its own cover, volume number, and wax seal — and when a month feels complete you can turn it into a real printable keepsake. It’s the difference between a tracker you forget and a record your child can hold one day.

  • A shelf, not a feed — each month becomes a book cover with its own volume number, a memory count, and a wax seal that fills when the chapter’s complete.

  • Books you can hold — turn any month into a printable PDF keepsake (cover, photos, milestones, and the notes on why they mattered), then print it or share it. Free, no add-ons.

  • On This Day — a year ago today quietly resurfaces on your home screen, so the moments you’d have forgotten find you again.

  • A record that grows with your child — the beginning of a story you’ll keep, built to stretch far past the baby days — first steps, first days of school, and all the years after.

Everything else a family needs, in one calm place

One nap, one timer, every device

The sleep timer is anchored to the clock itself, so it survives navigation, backgrounding, even app restarts — and both parents watch the same seconds tick. On iOS it lives on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.

It’s oops-friendly, too — baby actually fell asleep 20 minutes ago? Adjust the start time on a running timer and the math fixes itself.

Emergency info, ready before you need it

Allergies, medications, blood type, pediatrician, preferred hospital, who to call — one card, kept current. Show it as a scannable QR code, keep it in Apple Wallet, or print it — and it’s there for the caregivers you’ve let in, before you ever need it.

Works offline, everywhere

Log on the subway or in a dim 3 AM nursery with no signal — it saves on the spot and syncs the moment you’re back. No spinners, no lost entries, no duplicates to untangle.

101 first foods, one small adventure at a time

A cozy checklist of 101 foods to explore before age one, with a gentle lane for the nine major allergens — see what’s been tried, when, and what’s next. Encouraging, never a scoreboard, and it never plays doctor.

Your week, written down for you

Each week the feeds, naps and firsts gather into a short recap you can read in one sip of coffee — written on your phone, by your phone. Nothing leaves the device to make it, and the good ones can live on the Keepsake Shelf.

The pediatrician visit, minus the memory test

One tap gathers feeding, sleep, growth and health since the last visit into a clean PDF you can hand to the doctor. “Any changes since January?” finally has an answer.

Locked like it matters

Face ID app lock, two-factor sign-in, and access that’s invitation-only from the ground up. No ads, no selling data, no social feed — your child’s story is only for the people you choose.

Your timeline, anytime

Every feed, nap and change in one scrollable history, with today’s totals at a glance — plus smart nap predictions to help you plan the next one. So the 2 PM “when did she eat last?” has an actual answer.

WHO growth charts

Weight, height and head circumference plotted on real WHO percentile curves (P3–P97, 0–24 months) — watch the curve instead of guessing at the doctor’s office.

The whole family, each with their own key

Grandparents, partners, nannies — invite each grown-up with a role: co-parent, caregiver or view-only, with custom fine-tuning when family is complicated.

Who’s behind this

Built by two parents who needed it

Maple Roost is made by Matthew & Alyssa — a mom-and-dad team building the app they kept wishing existed for their own family. We don’t think of it as a tracker; we think of it as the place our kid’s story lives, kept by everyone who loves them. Every feature is tested at home first, on real nights, with a real baby. If it doesn’t hold up at 3 AM, it doesn’t ship.
